Ice and Water Shield Requirements: Per Table R301.2(1) of the 2005 Indiana Residential Building Code, Ice and Water Shield Underlayment is not required within the City of Greenfield, Indiana. However, if Ice and Water Shield Underlayment is required by the installation instructions of the shingles or roof covering to be used, it then is required to be installed per the requirements set forth in the 2005 Indiana Residential Building Code and the installation instructions.
